Back from Kenya
15th July 2010
Well, I am now back from Kenya, and I have got over 5000 photographs to go through.

It was an amazing trip, and I managed to see the Big 5 in 1 game drive.
For those of you who do not know what the big five is, they are
1. Lion
2. Rhino
3. Elephant
4. Water Buffalo
5. Cheeta

But we saw loads more, Hippos, Crocs, leopard, Jackals just to name a few.

Although I did not see a lion kill or Cheeta kill, we did managed to catch up with them minutes after they made a kill, and in one occasion the gazelle was still alive. Big grim, but then that is the way of life over there.

Once I have managed to go through the photo's I will upload them.

Thanks for reading this.

Kenya Update
05th March 2010
Well, it is getting near to the time that I go to Keyna.

The flights are booked, Hotel Booked. I was a bit concerned with the Safari, but after looking on Trip Advisor, and speaking to a number of my photography friends, they suggested contacting a company called Julius Safaris in Ukunda.

Looked up his details, and checked on Trip Advisor and the feedback is great. So after many emails, we are now going to the Masai-Mara. Even better it will be just the two of use (Teresa and I), oh and the guide.

I am going down to Kent to a private Wildlife santuary for big cats to get a feel of photographing them, before I go.

Just a few more things to do before we go, get the necessary vacinations.

As the date draws near, I will be posting more info on the trip.

Enjoy

Prague
05th March 2010
Well I have just got back from Prague, and have uploaded a select few photos of the city.

It was just as I remembered it, well apart from the Marks and Spencers, C&A, and Tesco, and the multitude of other multi-national shops.

However, the essance of the city has not changed, nor has the Architecture changed. On just about every street there is always something to look at, photograph.

There is a scaled down version of the Eifel Tower, that you can go up. The day that I went up the lift was not walking, so up 229 steps (60 meters) i went, with camera equipment. The views from the top was worth it, 360 degrees of beauty.

Enjoy the photo's

Sharpness
11th February 2010
The Sunken Barges of Sharpness have drawn my attention again. I am intending to go and see these barges again.

To find these barges, have a look on Google Earth, and around the Sharpness river bank, it is very easy to see these barges on the Satelite image.

I allways use Google Earth to have a look around where ever I go, for a number of reasons.
You never know there may be a interesting spot nearby to photograph, another good source is Flickr, just type in where you are going and you can see what other people have photographed in the area, it will give you some ideas. However, never try copying other people, just try to come up with your own ideas.

Thanks for reading, and if you like what you are read drop me a line.

Regards

Andrew
